As one of the top 10 parades in the world, you should definitely take your dog and head out to the Chinese New Year Festival & Parade in San Francisco, CA! This evening parade takes place in San Francisco, starting out at Second and Market Streets. Officials recommend that you come out before 4:30 to secure a place to sit. You can sit almost anywhere along the parade route. Refer to the parade website for more information about transportation.
Come out for some to see the 268 foot golden dragon held up by 180 people, giant puppets, gorgeous floats and costumes, firecrackers, and Miss Chinatown and her court. If your dog is afraid of firecrackers, please make arrangements as necessary for your dog.
