First Landing State Park (Virginia Beach, VA) offers it all for you and your dog – 20 miles of trail hiking, camping, beach, boating, biking, swimming and more. The park is on Cape Henry in North Virginia Beach.
The best feature of all, however, is the 1.5 mile long, year-round access to First Landing Beach Park! Many Virginia beaches only allow dogs at certain times of the year or not at all, so this is a gem for all those water-loving, sand-digging dogs!
Popular hiking trails include the Bald Cypress Trail, Osmanthus Trail, and High Dune Trail. Tent and cabin camping is available at the park.
Read the park’s pet policy before you go. More information about the park can also be found at here. Dogs must be kept on leash at all times. Don’t forget to bring rabies vaccination records!
