    Fort Myers Beach offers a lot of pet friendly options, including lodgings, restaurants, and of course dog friendly beaches, including Fort Meyers Beach and Dog Beach. There’s also so many other activities and attractions to do in Fort Myers to make it a great vacation spot.

    Dogs are allowed at Fort Meyers Beach as long as they are leashed and licensed. The Visit Fort Myers Beach website has a map where you can see a good overview of beaches in the area. There are 25 beach access point to Fort Myers Beach from marker #11 – #36.

    Dog Beach (Bonita Beach Dog Park) is the only off-leash dog beach on Estero Island. located at 8800 Estero Blvd., Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931. Free parking and dog showers are available at the park.

    If you want to go hiking with your dog, consider going to Lovers Key State Park for some short hiking trails. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach within the state park.

    Safety: Remember to bring a lot of water and to keep your dog cool. You can bring cooling accessories with your and have a shady spot for your dog to rest.
