    Special Interest: Hiking

Dogs that love the water and hiking must go to Lake Dorothy (Skykomish, WA). There’s over 390,000 acres and huge body of water to play in. The Lake Dorothy Trailhead starts 1.9 miles from Lake Dorothy. Stop for a photo at Lake Dorothy with a view of Big Snow Mountain in the background. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. From Lake Dorothy you can hike on to Bear and Deer Lakes, or challenge yourself and go to Snoqualmie Lake. The total distance from the trailhead to Snoqualmie Lake is about 12-13 miles out and back. This area is very popular for camping, fishing, birding, and canoeing. We recommend you read this article before you plan your trip out.
